The new Formula 1 car of the Maranello company was presented on Tuesday 11 February in Reggio Emilia, at the Valli theater. The new car was called SF100, to celebrate the 1000th GP that the team will race in Formula1. The regulations compared to last year have remained the same and for this reason the new machine is an evolution of the SF90. Aesthetically, the SF1000 is still opaque but has a darker shade of red. It has white edged numbers and a well-visible tricolor. As regards the technical data sheet, we report the characteristics below: FRAME the frame is made of carbon fiber honeycomb composite material with halo protection for the passenger compartment. It is composed of the Ferrari 6-speed longitudinal gearbox plus rear and electronically controlled sequential semi-automatic with quick change. The self-locking differential is instead hydraulically controlled. The frame also includes Brembo carbon ventilated disc brakes and the electronic control system on the rear brakes. The weight of the total water, oil and pilot single-seater is 745 kg. ENGINE The Ferrari engine is a V6 with 4 valves per cylinder with direct injection with a maximum of 500 bar. it has a displacement of 1600 cc and allows 15000 maximum revolutions. ERS SYSTEM the battery energy is equivalent to 4MJ and the power of the MGU-K to 120 kw. The maximum revolutions of the MGU-K are 50000, while those of the MGU-H 125000.
